This finely cast gilt copper alloy sculpture, gilded with 24 karat gold, represents a Bodhisattva, a major figure in Buddhism embodying compassion and wisdom, depicted here in an elegant seated posture.

The right hand is raised in vitarka mudra, the gesture of teaching and transmission of knowledge, while the left hand rests in a gesture of meditation. The lotus rising behind the shoulder symbolizes purity and spiritual awakening.

The Bodhisattva is richly adorned with an elaborate crown, finely crafted jewelry, and delicate ornaments, emphasizing his elevated spiritual status. The harmonious proportions and refined modeling give the figure a balanced and graceful presence.
