This finely cast gilt copper alloy sculpture, gilded with 24 karat gold, represents Indra, one of the most important deities in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, revered as the king of the gods and a protector of the spiritual realm.
Depicted seated in a relaxed posture, Indra embodies both authority and benevolence. His right hand is gracefully extended, while his left rests in a natural position, conveying a sense of calm power and divine presence. The lotus rising behind the shoulder symbolizes purity and spiritual elevation.
He is richly adorned with an elaborate crown, inlaid with colored stones, as well as finely detailed jewelry and ornaments that emphasize his regal status. The harmonious proportions and refined modeling give the figure a balanced and elegant presence.
