Gilded with 24 karat of gold and embellished with gem stones.

Saraswati is the goddess of art, knowledge, learning, wisdom and music.

Her upper left arm holds the book of knowledge, while her upper right arm holds a rosary. She plays the vina, a classical Indian instrument, ornamented with the head of a swan. The swan, which symbolizes wisdom and spiritual perfection, is also  the vehicle of Saraswati.

She is  a water deity and related to the holy river Saraswati.

In Nepal, Saraswati is worshipped by Hindus as well as Buddhists.
