Amitabha , the Buddha of infinite light, is also called Amitayus, the Buddha of eternal Life. He is associated with longevity and with the pure perception of the vacuity of all phenomena. He lives in the pure land of the West, in a paradise called Sukhavati. Great savior, he sends his compassionate light to all the beings in need. Sitting in meditation, he carries a vase of ambrosia.
