This bronze statue represents White Tara, one of the most revered female deities in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying compassion, healing, and longevity.

She is depicted seated in a serene meditative posture, her right hand extended in the gesture of generosity (varada mudra), while her left hand is raised in a gesture of protection and blessing. White Tara is traditionally associated with long life, vitality, and the compassionate gaze that watches over all beings.

Often described as the “Mother of all Buddhas,” she is also known for her seven eyes—symbolizing her all-seeing wisdom and her ability to perceive the suffering of beings in every realm.

Adorned with an elaborate crown and finely detailed ornaments, she appears here in her bodhisattva form, framed by lotus stems rising on either side, symbols of purity and spiritual awakening. The refined detailing reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of Newar artisans from the Kathmandu Valley, whose traditions have shaped Himalayan sacred art for centuries.

The warm gilded surface, enriched by natural patina and subtle traces of wear, gives the sculpture both presence and authenticity.

A refined and deeply symbolic representation of compassion, healing, and longevity in Himalayan Buddhist art.
