This large and finely cast gilt copper alloy sculpture, richly gilded with 24 karat gold, represents a seated bodhisattva depicted in dharmachakra mudra, the gesture of teaching and the turning of the Wheel of Dharma.
Seated in vajra posture, the bodhisattva holds both hands before the chest in a refined and balanced composition, symbolizing the transmission of spiritual knowledge and the continuity of Buddhist teachings.
The figure is adorned with an elaborate crown, jewelry, and finely detailed ornaments, characteristic of enlightened bodhisattvas such as Avalokiteshvara, embodying compassion and wisdom.
Incrustations of colored stones enhance the sculpture, adding depth, refinement, and visual richness to the overall composition.
