PATAN MUSEUM EXHIBITION

This statue was part of the exhibition in the Patan Museum: "The Revival of Newari Woodcarving, 2024".

This statue was carved with extreme delicacy, sharpness, and balance, and won the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts Special Awards 2023 (amongst all categories of traditional statues).

As a feminine emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Tara embodies compassion and action, and protects all beings during their spiritual journey towards enlightenment.
