This statue was part of the exhibition in the Patan Museum: "The Revival of Newari Woodcarving, 2024".
Jambhala is a deity invoked for material and spiritual wealth. As a wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, he protects all beings from harmful and negative actions.
Below his throne stands Buddha Shakyamuni. Then, clockwise: Manjushree, Lokeshwor, Buddha teaching the dharma, Amitabha on the top, and Vajarapani at the bottom right.
